For friends and family, I have enabled tracking on my Delorme (Garmin) InReach. The passcode to the mapshare can be found on my private facebook profile page, or if you received an email from me. Originally I had planned to keep the link public, but after a few horror stories about solo female hikers, I changed my mind.
To access the map go to https://share.garmin.com/LarissaSwanland
You will be prompted to enter the password.
Once you have entered the password, then you will see my current map.
If you want to know more real-time (more than the tracking points are set, which are every 20 minutes a point is put on the map), you can choose: “Locate”. That will show you where I am real-time.
I have disabled messaging through the device (it uses up a lot of batteries), but occasionally I’ll get my cell phone signal or if it can’t wait, Ryan is able to relay any message to me!
